Beating Fatigue With Beef Stew Pot Pie

This is my first 2009 ten dollar wine review. I took advantage of the holiday season to resume my reviews of pricier French and German wines. I have been drinking Canadian wine for decades and it has been getting better over the years. But I have never reviewed a Canadian wine until now. Even if the wine proves to be a disaster, I'll be reviewing more. But I can't promise you when.

Favorite Dish This was a tough decision but I'm going to have to go with the cold bowl which easy beef stew is surprising because I usually like to eat this dish hot.

Sow the seeds directly in the simple beef stew earth after the last frost in manure and compost-enriched well-draining soil somewhere that gets full sun. The seed packet will tell you how much space to leave between the plants because there are different pumpkin varieties. Once the plants start to grow, use organic matter as mulch to deter weeks and keep the soil moist.

Chili: This works out great if you ate chili the night before and have some leftovers. Just cook your potato, heat up the leftovers, and put the two together.

Note: I did not include the 10 hour slow cooking time into the overall 'recipe time' because once the slow cooker is turned on, you don't have to do anything until it's done and ready to eat (except clean up and wash all your dishes!). Since you can do other things during those 10 hours (like sleep or go to work), the 10 hours are omitted. I usually make the stew Sunday evening and have it ready for Monday morning.

If you're planning on a really long emergency and are good at making your own food, you'll want to store things like buckets of wheat, flour, sugar, beans, salt, baking powder etc.

It was an afternoon late fall when we visited the Bull & Castle, so the restaurant was quiet and a welcome relief from the bustle of tourists outside of Christchurch. However, I have a feeling that the Bull & Castle gets overly crowded during peak tourist season. Both of us enjoyed our meals very much. The lunch menu is pretty diverse, offering burgers, quesadillas, Irish simple easy slow cooker beef stew, fish and chips, soups, salads, and a rotating menu of daily specials. For dessert, my dining companion and I split a deep-fried Mars bar with ice cream and raspberry coulis. It was heavy, overly sweet, and precisely what we were expecting.

Winter wouldn't be winter without a taste of this intensely complex Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Sauvignon is a fruity wine with a heavier dose of tannins than, say, the lighter, red wines. Cabernet is a bit earthy, complex and rich with tannin. Cabernet makes a perfect companion for lamb stew or beef bourguignon. Check out this Bordeaux. Chateau Chabiran makes a wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon for the next cold, winter's day.

I'll ask again, would you break into a sweat if you had to create a 6 course French dinner for friends? Now I believe your answer would be "no", because it only takes 5 basic cooking methods, not 5 long, complicated, vague and outdated written easy beef stew bbc good food.
